Thursday, 7th April 2011.
There is evidence this week that the catalytic converter thieves have not gone away as three Mercedes Sprinter vans have been targeted within the last few days - the latest one in the space of just ten minutes.
Police are linking two of the thefts, one in Haverhill and one in Kedington.
In Rookwood Way, Haverhill, between noon on Saturday and 1pm on Monday the exhaust system was stolen from a white Mercedes Sprinter van in a car park on the industrial estate.
In Kings Hill, Kedington, between 7pm Monday and 6.30am on Tuesday the catalytic converter was stolen from a blue Mercedes Sprinter van.
Anyone with any information about either incident should call the Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Then in Betony Walk, Haverhill, in just the ten minutes after 8pm yesterday, the exhaust system was stolen from a blue Mercedes Sprinter van.
Calls in relation to this incident should be made to Sgt Darren Lamboll at Haverhill Police on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
