Camera's Appeal To Curb Town Speeders
Friday, 10th March 2006.
Officers who have been trained to use mobile speed cameras could soon be in operation in Haverhill.
Town Mayor Tim Marks asked sector commander Inspector Bruce Gent at Monday's meeting of the Haverhill Partnership Group if officers could be brought in to enforce speed limits in Withersfield Road, which are constantly abused.
Inspector Gent said the cameras had so far been used mainly in rural areas, but could be asked to operate in Withersfield Road if it was considered a problem.
