Busy week for hotel was close to perfect
Tuesday, 19th July 2011.
Last week the Days Inn hotel in Haverhill experienced a near-perfect week, during which it was audited no less than four times.
The Health and Safety Audit and Fire Safety Audit carried out by Common Sense Compliance both produced a score of 98 per cent, the Food Safety Audit scored 96 per cent and the Brand Engagement and Development (B.E.D) Audit by Wyndham Worldwide scored 94 per cent.
General manager Donna Revell said: “It is quite unusual to have four audits in one week but I am delighted to say that we sailed through them all.
"We have a great team at Days Inn Haverhill who are totally committed to delivering the highest levels of service. Running a hotel is a complex business, as anyone who has watched The Hotel Inspector will know!
"There are so many different factors that have to come together to ensure a guest has a positive experience, from customer service to housekeeping to health and safety. The results of the external audits validate that we are getting it right.”
The hotel was full for most of the week but still managed to play host to year seven and year eight students from Castle Manor Business and Enterprise College, who were undertaking an enterprise training day and to co-ordinate a full wedding - the civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening function - on the Saturday.
The perfect end to the week were two letters, received on the same day, complimenting reservations manager Ben Rolt on his exceptional customer service, professionalism and hard work. Ben was thrilled to be acknowledged for his efforts and commented that his mum would be proud!
The final word goes to Donna: “The whole team pulled together to make sure everything went to plan. I always knew our team was fantastic but these audit scores and customer comments show we do not let our high standards slip even when we are busy.”
