Businesses get chance to learn about going green
Thursday, 24th May 2001.
BUSINESSES in the Haverhill area are being invited to share their green secrets.
Haverhill Neighbourhood Day, on Wednesday June 6, has been organised as a chance to find out how being greener can help businesses save money as well as the environment.
It has been arranged by the St Edmundsbury Green Business Forum.
Members of the forum, such as Project Office Furniture and IFF, will be offering guided tours of their premises to show how they have benefited from improving their environmental performances.
There will also be an opportunity for businesses to have a free consultancy visit, from an Envirowise expert, to give advice on waste, water and energy reduction.
A free workshop offering advice on practical ways to reduce waste is also available.
An open session during the evening will be held at Project Office Furniture, at which businesses can pick up free advice packs and speak to waste, energy and other environmental management specialists.
Places are limited so early booking is advised.
Call Anouk Vijgen at St Edmundsbury Borough Council on 01284 757059.
