Burglars strike in Roman Way and Forties Close
Monday, 15th December 2014.
Police are appealing for witnesses after two burglaries in Haverhill.
The first incident occurred between 1.30am and 3am on Thursday, at a house in Roman Way.
Thieves got in via an insecure rear door and a number of items were stolen from inside including a Nikon Coolpix camera, an Amazon Kindle and a number of bottles of alcohol.
This was followed by another incident on Thursday evening at around 6.30pm, at an address in Forties Close.
The glass in the back door was smashed in an attempt to gain entry to the property. However this activated the burglar alarm and scared the offender away.
Anyone with information about either of these crimes is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
