Burglars pick on garages again
Monday, 28th June 2010.
Police suspect the same burglars to be responsible for two incidents where garages have been broken into.
On both cases the burglaries could have happened at any time over a period of several days.
Between 9am on Thursday, June 10, and 3pm on Thursday June 24, the garage to a house in Horseshoe Lane was broken into and a Vespa Piaggio Scooter, index P200NED, stolen, along with a ladies' red and silver pedal cycle.
In Paske Avenue, between Wednesday, June 16, and Wednesday, June 23, they got into a residential garage by removing the padlock, but nothing was stolen from within.
Anyone with information about either incident should call Sgt Sarah Bartley at Haverhill Safer Neighbourhood Team on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police in Haverhill have recently renewed their calls for the public to make sure their sheds and garages are locked, and particularly in relation to scooters which have been the target of recent thefts.
