Bronzed Graham

Young race walker Paul Graham is the proud owner of his first AAAs medal after taking bronze at Sheffield.
Graham, 13, a pupil at Samuel Ward Upper School in Haverhill, knocked six seconds off his previous personal best time in the under-15 3k track event to take third place in 15 min 39 sec.
Only a week before that he won a silver medal at the South of England championships at Enfield, and a few days later knocked another five seconds off his personal best time in a 2k handicap event at Colchester Barracks.
Graham's father and coach, Mick Graham, said he was particularly pleased that his son was getting his times down, but still keeping his style.
Graham will compete in the English Schools national event at Peterborough on September 18 and still has another year to go in the under-15 age group.
