Boy, 17, charged with lead theft from garage rooves

A boy has been charged with the theft of lead from garages in Norton Road in Haverhill on Monday night.
Police were called at 10.30pm to reports that a man had been seen on the garage roof a short time earlier, and then at 11.35pm it was reported that a group of suspicious men were in the area.
Officers attended and a 17-year-old boy from Haverhill was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Station for questioning.
He has been charged with theft and is due before Bury Youth Court on June 1.
