Big Day Out could be a big help in the garden
Wednesday, 18th July 2012.
Visitors to the Haverhill Big Day Out on Wednesday next week will be able to pick up free soil improver to use in their gardens.
The soil improver is being provided by Suffolk County Council and St Edmundsbury Borough Council from the compostable waste collected in brown bins. The material is ready to be used immediately.
There is a limited amount available from 10am, on a first come first served basis and people need to bring their own containers or sacks. A shovel will be provided.
The Big Day Out, run by the borough council, is held on the recreation ground and is another part of a series of events put on in the town during the summer.
It is followed on Sunday, July 29, by the Big Bash, organised by Haverhill Town Council, also on the recreation ground.
