Band prepares for competition
Thursday, 11th October 2001.
The band has been rehearsing twice a week for this competition, which comes hot on the heels of an extremely successful Last Night of the Proms at Haverhill Arts Centre.
Playing to a capacity audience, the event culminated in a rousing chorus of Jerusalem and Rule Brittania, with guest vocalist David Hart in fine voice. The band has one more public concert n Sunday, November 18, at 8pm at the Arts Centre.
The sponsor on this occasion will be Glassfusion and the band is grateful to them and previous sponsors Haverhill Town Council, Herberts, Gurteens, and International Flavours and Fragrances. Loyal followers will be welcome at the next concert and at the band’s AGM on Wednesday, November 28, at 730pm at Westfield School, Haverhill.
