Bag Stolen from Office
Tuesday, 28th January 2003.
POLICE are investigating the theft of a woman’s handbag from underneath her desk as she was working at an office in Haverhill.
Witnesses are sought to the theft from B and G Glass on Duddery Road.
A 56-year-old woman was at work at her desk, with her back to the entrance, when her handbag was stolen from beneath her desk. She was on the phone and heard a noise.
When she turned to look round she spotted a young boy who said he has seen two other boys and would run and see if he could spot them again. He did not return.
Police are appealing for this boy to come forward as he may have information to assist inquiries.
He is described as white, 13 to 15 years of age, with a pale complexion, short blond hair and wearing a white hooded top.
The bag, which was taken at around 2pm last Tuesday, contained items including a purse with cash and bank cards, sunglasses, leather gloves, a gold pen and a Samsung T100 mobile phone.
