Assaults on man and boy linked

Police are linking two assaults in Haverhill on Saturday evening, in which a man and a boy ended up with face and head injuries.
The first incident happened in Tesco car park around 8pm, when a man was assaulted by a group of youths, suffering minor facial injuries.
About an hour-and-a-half later, on a footpath in Ehringshausen Way, a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a man who had been seen in the area for about an hour beforehand.
The boy suffered minor head injuries.
The man who carried out the assault is described as around 5ft 7in tall, of slim build and wearing a black hooded top, black trousers and black trainers. He spoke with an Eastern European accent.
