Appeal for witnesses after 11-year-old boy followed
Friday, 8th August 2014.
An 11-year-old boy was followed by a man in a car for tow or three minutes as he walked in Greenfields Way on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at around 8.20pm when the boy was walking along on the right-hand side of the road.
As he came up level to the turn-off for Gipping Close he noticed a car approaching him from behind, coming from the direction of Cleves Road.
The car, described as a small blue Peugeot (possibly a 106 or 307), then slowed down as it got up behind the boy and then followed him at his walking pace for two to three minutes before driving off.
The driver of the car is described as a white man, aged between 45 and 50, of medium build, with black/grey hair in a close-cropped style and balding at the front.
He had thick, bushy, dark-coloured eyebrows, yellow crooked teeth, a protruding bottom lip and a tattoo towards the bottom of his neck which resembled a lightning bolt.
Police would like to speak to this man regarding the incident, and anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area around that time.
Anyone who believes they may know who the man is, or who has any other information in relation to this, is asked to contact PC Daniel Aston at Haverhill Police Station on 101 quoting reference HH/14/1551.
