Annual town meeting is a chance to have a say
Wednesday, 22nd May 2013.
The annual Haverhill Town Public Meeting takes place on Tuesday, May 28, at 7pm at Haverhill Arts Centre and is an opportunity for the public to discuss anything they want, as long as it’s about Haverhill.
With a wide range of issues affecting the town over the last year – health services, the High Street, transport, Vision 2031, care for the elderly, and youth provision to name but a few – there is plenty for residents of Haverhill to get their teeth into.
This is not a town council meeting - town mayor Pat Hanlon will provide a report but apart from that the agenda will be set by those members of the public who want to speak.
Immediately following the town meeting at 7.30pm that same evening, the town council will hold its annual meeting, at which a new mayor and deputy mayor will be elected.
Outgoing mayor Cllr Pat Hanlon will also give his reflections on his mayoral term. The community of Haverhill is encouraged to attend the meeting which, as with all other town council meetings, is open to the public.
