Altercation between dog-walkers ends in assault

A couple walking their dog on Sunday on a Haverhill recreation area were assaulted by a family walking theirs.
The incident happened in Chalkstone Way, Haverhill at about 3.45pm when the couple were walking their terrier on the recreation area when a white boxer dog with a couple and four children approached them.
A verbal exchange took place between both couples and the man with the boxer pushed the couple with the terrier and tried to antagonise them.
The man is described as white, aged approximately 30, about 6ft tall, of large build, with a bald head and a light brown goatee beard.
He was wearing a pink T-shirt and cream shorts and was possibly driving a silver people carrier with a partial index of EF02.
The woman he was in company with is described as white, aged approximately 30, about 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with shoulder length dark hair and was wearing a sun dress.
