All set for the town's biggest carol concert

If you’re still looking for seasonal music and carol singing, you can still get tickets for Haverhill’s biggest Christmas music event, Carols For All, which is in the Old Independent Church at 8pm on Sunday.
Haverhill Silver Band are joined by Haverhill Operatic Society, bolstered by members of Haverhill Choral Society, and by Nigel Brown at the organ.
This will the 37th annual concert, and one of the instigators who had conducted all of them until recently, Les Ager, died in October, so this concert is in memory of him, and will see the musicians perform the same programme as he chose for the last one he conducted in 2010.
You can get tickets in advance from the Arts Centre box office on 01440 714140, or you can still be sure of getting them on the door because the venue is enormous.
The programme includes the Hallellujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah and Gordon Langford's Christmas Fantasy for band, choir and organ.
