African visitor in town

AN African statesman visited Haverhill yesterday to see the work of one of the UK's top companies in its field.
Clovis Katuramu, from Uganda, met staff at Herbert and Sons, the weights and measures company in Rookwood Way.
Mr Katuramu is head of legal metrology in Uganda, in charge of ensuring weights and measurements in businesses there are accurate.
Herbert and Sons supplies weighing scales to many of Britain's supermarkets and Mr Katuramu is keen to see how the firm operates.
Suffolk County Council trading standards department hosted Mr Katuramu's visit.
It provides a weights and measures service throughout the county, and checks all scales in Suffolk shops for accuracy.
