Abbeycroft Leisure 'Pink Day' Success
Tuesday, 23rd October 2007.
In aid of breast cancer awareness month Abbeycroft Leisure offered everyone the opportunity to come along to an exercise class wearing an item of PINK for free – all we asked was that they they make a small donation to the breast cancer campaign.
Haverhill Leisure Centre's “Pink Day” on Friday 26th October, proved a great success with a “PINK” style RPM class on offer, and breast cancer awareness ribbons on sale.
Alison Bowyer, Acting Chief Executive says: “We would like to thank all those who attended and staff who also joined in the spirit of the day by wearing a pink item, Both our Haverhill and Bury St. Edmunds sites together raised over £200 towards breast cancer awareness and could not have done so without your help.”
“The amount of people attending was great to see, people were willing to come along and support us and also get fit whilst doing so!”
