£9.25m Haverhill Cinema Complex Plans Unveiled
Sunday, 3rd December 2006.
Designs for a new £9.25 million five-screen cinema complex in Haverhill have gone on public display in the town.
The designs and information about the new development were put on show at Haverhill Leisure Centre.
If the plans are approved by the council on January 8th, work could start on the development as early as spring this year. The cinema complex, including restaurants and a modern square outside the Leisure Centre, could well be finished by the summer of 2008.
Oliver De Chalouf, associate director of Citygrove, the developers bulding the complex, said: "All the feedback has been very positive.
"The computer generated images show the layout of the scheme and how the town is going to look. Everyone seems very excited."
MIke Dawson, corporate director at St Edmundsbury Borough Council said: "So far people have been very excited to see the designs, they are modern and a great addition to the town."
