Also referred to as the Air Training Corps, Air Cadets is the youth organisation of the Royal Air Force and is aimed at young men and women between the ages of 13 and 20. We promote and develop an interest and knowledge in aviation, the Royal Air Force, leadership, citizenship, and being much more adventurous! 1451 Squadron meets twice a week at our headquarters in Haverhill. Our cadets use this time to learn the skills which help them during weekend activities, camps and life in general. Our aims are set out in a Royal Warrant and approved by HM the Queen. These aims are: • To promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people. • To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life. • To encourage a spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship. |
